It was a nearly full house at Emmanual Lutheran Church on December 15, 2024. Bill Reichenbach led a 51-piece trombone choir playing all the excellent holiday arrangements he is known for. Here is a photo Jerry Hey took, and we will post more as they come in. The generosity was high, and so was the enthusiasm. The plates were passed, and the fund received over $5,000 to help musicians in crisis.
With an incredible turnout of over 350 attendees and around 40 talented players, this year’s Hearts of Music concert set the stage on fire! The generosity of our audience shone through as we raised an impressive $4,795 in donations!
A massive shoutout to our amazing Hearts of Music volunteers, including the fantastic Missy Kelly and Deborah Check, and the unwavering support from board members Nancy Ackerman and Fran Reichenbach. Their dedication turned the greeting area into a lively hub of positive energy and cheer. It’s safe to say that this year’s concert was not just a success; it was a celebration of community spirit and the power of music to bring joy and support.
Roving videographers Merlin David and Olivia Duke captured the richness of the Trombones LA performance with Bill Reichenbach’s talents and sense of humor rounding out this joyful event.

It’s been a special year for the Hearts of Music Fund! With the release and sales of the new double CD, along with the extremely generous donations from those who attended the December 18 concert, Hearts of Music Fund will be able to assist more musicians and their families as those needs arise.
With the spirit of giving still in the air, people who were unable to attend the concert are donating through this website.
As we come to the close of this very challenging year, please consider making an end-of-the-year donation to help Hearts of Music Fund continue to make a difference in the lives of so many! Your donations are very much needed, and of course, completely tax deductible.
Thank you for your continued support and Happy New Year!
